Author’s Notes – Written by
me (Ghost Helwig) from the point of view of a character of mine whose name is
Lightning. A slash poem, because he’s in
a rather unconventional slash relationship.
If you care, stories and possibly more poetry from/about him and his
lover should be written very soon.

the one who knocks me to my knees
The
only one to whom I say “please”

integral to keep me from being hollow

only one I shall ever follow

my power answers to you

give and I’ve never seen you take

will be the one to mend you should you ever break

the one who keeps me from feeling hollow

only one my wild spirit follows

never been the type to say the words
At
least not when I know I can be heard
But
“I love you” and I wanted you to know
Because
I’m not the type to let it show

the one whose every word I’ve swallowed

only one I know whose heart is hallowed
